Kindergarten

Our Kindergarten program offers a learning environment that nurtures children’s natural curiosity, creativity, and enthusiasm, building the foundation for a lifelong love of learning.

  • Families create schedules that fit their schedules within the program -- full days, half-days, or a combination -- with a minimum of five full mornings.

  • Kindergarten enrolls up to 18 students per day.

  • Kindergarten maintains a 15-to-1 student-to-faculty ratio.

  • Kindergarteners enjoy daily outdoor play or large-motor skill development in our full-size gym.

  • In addition to daily exercise and artistic projects in the Kindergarten classroom, students enjoy weekly Library, Music, Phys. Ed., and Spanish classes taught by Japhet specialists.

  • Kindergarteners are 5 years old by November 1st.
  • In Kindergarten, themes are explored in depth, providing opportunities to develop reading, math readiness, and higher-level thinking skills. Children are encouraged to make decisions, explore, discover, be creative, and solve problems. Social and emotional development is key, as Kindergarteners learn how expressing each character quality helps them to be peacemakers in the classroom, at home, in our communities, and in the world.

Kindergarteners learn important skills by using all of their senses.
